Sellerview. Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026
Originally effective: 25 March 2026

At Sellerview, your data isn't our business, your profits are. We only use your data to help you understand and improve your Amazon performance.

This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It covers everything we run: the sellerview.ai website, the Sellerview web app, and the Sellerview iOS app. Where something applies to only one of those, we say so.

Who we are

Sellerview is operated by Adsify Technologies ("Sellerview", "we", "us").

For people in the UK, EU, or other places with data protection law, Adsify Technologies is the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

1. Your Amazon selling data

To make Sellerview work, we connect to your Amazon Seller account (with your permission) and pull:

  • Orders, sales & revenue data
  • Advertising performance
  • Fees, refunds & settlements
  • Inventory & logistics data
  • Product/catalog information
  • Tax-related data (for accurate P&L)

You connect your account through Amazon's own authorisation screens (SP-API and the Amazon Ads API). We never ask for, see, or store your Amazon username or password.

2. Your account information

Basic information such as your name, email address, company or store name, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text), and your Sellerview account and billing details.

3. Payment information

Paid plans are billed through our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle handles your card details directly. We never see or store your full card number. We only receive what we need to run your subscription, plan, status, renewal date, country for tax, and the last four digits of the card.

4. Device and technical information

When you use our website or apps we record ordinary technical details: IP address, browser or device type, operating system and app version, time zone, and pages or screens you opened. We use this to keep the service running, secure, and fast.

5. Mobile app permissions (iOS)

The iOS app only asks for a permission when a feature needs it, and you can refuse or change your mind later in your iPhone's Settings. The app keeps working without them, you just lose that one feature.

  • Notifications. If you allow them, Apple gives us a device token so we can send your alerts (TACoS spikes, stock-outs, fee changes, and so on). We use the token only to send you Sellerview notifications. Turn them off any time in Settings or in the app.
  • Camera and photo library. Only used when you choose to attach or take a picture, for example a screenshot when you report a problem, or a document you want to send us. We do not scan your photo library and we never access the camera in the background. We only receive the specific image you pick.

6. Support messages

If you email us, chat with us, or report a bug, we keep that conversation and anything you attach to it so we can help you and improve the product.

AI features: the Sellerview Co-Pilot

This is the important one, so we're spelling it out. Sellerview includes an AI assistant (the "Co-Pilot" or "Ask AI") that answers questions about your business in plain English. To do that, it sends some of your business data to third-party AI companies that we do not own. Here is exactly what happens.

Who your data goes to

CompanyWhat it does for usWhere
Anthropic, PBC (the Claude API) Reads your question together with the relevant business figures and writes the answer. United States
OpenAI, L.L.C. (embeddings API) Turns short pieces of your store context into numbers ("embeddings") so the Co-Pilot can find the right data to answer with. It is not used to write answers. United States

What we send them

  • The question you type, and the earlier messages in that same conversation.
  • The business figures needed to answer it, pulled from your own Sellerview data, for example profit and loss (sales, fees, cost of goods, ad spend, refunds, net and gross profit), advertising performance and campaign names, customer search terms driving your ad spend, inventory levels and days of cover, product and ASIN/SKU details and tags, your alert rules and which ones fired, plus your marketplace and currency.
  • Short summaries of your store ("store context") that we prepare so the answer fits your business.

What we never send them

  • Your password, or any Amazon login details.
  • Your Amazon SP-API or Ads API tokens.
  • Your card or payment details.
  • Your customers' personal details, buyer names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses. The Co-Pilot works from aggregated business figures, not from buyer records.

You choose whether to use it

  • Before the Co-Pilot sends anything for the first time, we show you this disclosure in the app and ask you to agree.
  • If you say no, nothing is sent. Every other part of Sellerview, your dashboard, P&L, alerts, reports, keeps working exactly as before.
  • You can change your mind at any time in Settings. After that the Co-Pilot stops sending your data. Anything already sent can't be un-sent, but you can ask us to delete your chat history.

How these companies may use it

  • They act as our processors: they may only use your data to return an answer to us, under contract.
  • Under our commercial API agreements, your data is not used to train their AI models.
  • They may hold the request briefly for safety and abuse checks, then delete it. We do not control their systems, so we link their policies here: Anthropic's privacy policy and OpenAI's privacy policy.

Two honest warnings

  • Don't paste sensitive personal information into the chat. Anything you type is sent to the AI provider along with your question. Keep it to your business.
  • AI answers can be wrong. The Co-Pilot is a helper, not an accountant. Check anything important against your own numbers before you act on it.

Why we collect it

Simple, to help you make better decisions.

We use your data to:

  • Build your same-day P&L
  • Show profitability at ASIN level
  • Send alerts (TACoS spikes, stock-outs, fee changes, etc.)
  • Help you identify leaks in your business
  • Answer your questions through the Co-Pilot, if you turn it on
  • Run your account, take payment, and give you support
  • Keep the service secure and working, and meet our legal and tax obligations

We don't use your data for anything else.

If you are in the UK or EU, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running the service), your consent (the Co-Pilot, marketing email, optional cookies), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the product), and legal obligation (tax and accounting).

What we DON'T do

Let's make this very clear:

  • We don't sell your data
  • We don't share your data with other sellers
  • We don't run benchmarks using your data without consent
  • We don't access anything beyond what's needed
  • We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising
  • We don't let our AI providers train their models on your data

Your data stays yours. Always.

Who else we share data with

We share data only with the companies that help us run Sellerview, and only what each one needs. They are all bound by contract to protect it.

WhoWhat for
Amazon (SP-API, Amazon Ads API)Reading your selling and advertising data, with your authorisation
AnthropicAI Co-Pilot answers (only if you turn the Co-Pilot on)
OpenAIEmbeddings that let the Co-Pilot find the right data (only if you turn the Co-Pilot on)
Cloud hosting and database providersStoring and serving your data securely
PaddlePayments, invoices, and sales tax/VAT
Email and messaging providersSending alerts, account emails, and support replies
AppleDelivering push notifications to your iPhone, and App Store distribution
Analytics providers (website and web app)Understanding how the site and app are used, so we can improve them

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public. If Sellerview is ever sold or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner, and this policy travels with it.

Where your data is stored

We are based in the United States and our providers are mostly in the United States and the European Union. If you are outside those places, your data will be transferred there. Where the law requires it, we rely on approved safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We take security seriously:

  • Encrypted data storage
  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) everywhere
  • Secure connection via Amazon SP-API
  • Limited internal access (only when required)
  • Regular monitoring and safeguards

No system is perfect, so we can't promise absolute security, but if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as quickly as the law requires.

Data retention

Your data stays as long as you use Sellerview.

You can request deletion anytime, no questions asked. When you close your account we delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, except anything we must keep by law (for example invoices for tax) and backups, which age out on their normal cycle. Co-Pilot conversations are deleted with your account, or sooner if you clear them.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Sellerview account and everything in it:

  • In the iOS app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
  • In the web app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
  • Or email us at support@sellerview.ai and we'll do it for you.

Deleting your account removes your Sellerview data and disconnects us from your Amazon account. It does not touch anything inside Amazon itself.

You're always in control

  • Disconnect your Amazon account anytime
  • Turn the AI Co-Pilot on or off anytime
  • Request data deletion
  • Ask what data we have, we'll show you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Object to, or ask us to limit, certain uses
  • Withdraw consent you gave earlier
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email with one click

Email support@sellerview.ai and we'll answer within 30 days. If you're in the UK or EU you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you're in California

Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out, all listed above. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.

Tracking and advertising

The Sellerview iOS app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not use your data for third-party advertising. That is why the app does not show Apple's tracking permission prompt.

The sellerview.ai website uses cookies and similar tools: ones that are necessary for the site to work, plus analytics and marketing cookies that help us understand where visitors come from. You can control these in your browser, or through the cookie banner where it is shown.

Children

Sellerview is a business tool for Amazon sellers. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.

Amazon compliance

We strictly follow Amazon's policies, including:

  • SP-API Data Protection Policy
  • Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Other companies' links

Our site and apps sometimes link out to Amazon, our providers, or other websites. Once you're there, their privacy policy applies, not ours.

Updates

If we update anything here, we'll keep it transparent. We'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and for anything significant, especially a change to how the AI Co-Pilot uses your data, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and ask again for your consent where that's needed.
