The claims
Five things Amazon owes sellers, checked every month.
Each one is a specific case with a specific amount, not a category. If a refund was reimbursed later, it is netted off before you ever see it, so the number on the screen is what is genuinely still owed.
Every claim carries the deadline Amazon works to. A case that runs out of time is worth nothing, so the board sorts by what expires first.
Honest by default
It tells you what it could not check.
A tool that reports a clean account when it simply lacked the data is worse than no tool. When a check cannot run, it is held back and named, with the reason and what would unlock it.
That is also why nothing counts as recovered until Amazon has actually paid it. An estimate is not a recovery.
The claim

Not everything lost is owed back. Ad spend that buys nothing, stock paying storage it will never earn out, and products returned far above their category. Each one comes with what it costs you a month, so the biggest is obvious.

It watches for the money landing
When Amazon pays, the payment is matched back to the claim, so the recovered figure is verified rather than estimated.

No. Those firms take a percentage of what they recover, usually 15 to 25%, and most of them file on your behalf. Leak Finder is part of your plan, you send the claims, and the money goes straight back to you.
Because a tool with permission to file against your Seller Central is a risk to your account rather than a convenience. It prepares the claim and the evidence. Sending it stays your decision.
As far as Amazon allows a claim, limited by the history on your connection. Amazon backfills 60 days when an account is first connected, and everything is kept from that day on.
It says so, and says why, rather than reporting a clean account. If the cost of goods is missing on some products, or reimbursement history is shorter than refund history, those checks are held back instead of guessing.
Then it tells you that too, and checks again next month. A clean account is a real answer.
