What This Free FBA Fee Calculator Shows You

Every fee Amazon charges, broken out line by line, not just a single estimate.

  • Amazon referral fee: calculated automatically by product category
  • FBA fulfillment fee: based on weight and size tier (Standard or Oversize)
  • Ad spend impact: what your ACoS is actually costing you per unit
  • Return costs: refund and restocking impact on net margin
  • Net profit per unit: your real take-home after every Amazon fee and cost

How This Amazon Profit Calculator Works

  1. Enter your product's selling price and product cost (COGS)
  2. Select your category and marketplace, defaults to Amazon US
  3. Add your ad spend and return rate for accurate, real-world numbers

Built for Every Amazon Marketplace

Selling on more than one Amazon marketplace? Switch the marketplace dropdown above and referral fees, fulfillment costs, currency, and tax handling all adjust automatically, no manual lookups, no separate spreadsheets per country. What Amazon US Actually Charges You

Every Amazon US sale carries two Amazon fees: a referral fee set by product category, and an FBA fulfillment fee set by weight and size tier. The calculator above applies both automatically. Here is what it is working from.

  • Referral fee: 8% across most electronics, computers, beauty and baby categories, rising through the 12%, 15% and 16% bands, 17% on clothing and accessories, and 20% on jewelry and fine art. A $0.30 minimum applies on every sale, rising to $2.00 on jewelry and watches. Amazon Device Accessories is the outlier at 45%.
  • FBA fulfillment, standard size: $3.22 at a quarter pound, $3.77 at one pound, $6.22 at five, $9.08 at ten and $14.48 at twenty. Past twenty pounds it is $14.48 plus $0.54 for every additional pound.
  • FBA fulfillment, oversize: $9.73 at one pound, $16.45 at ten, $32.05 at thirty and $63.00 at seventy. Past seventy pounds it is $63.00 plus $0.90 per additional pound.
  • Ad spend and returns: both entered as a percentage, because they are costs on every unit sold rather than a line item on any single order. Most fee calculators leave them out, which is why their margins look healthier than your settlement report.

One cost this calculator does not model is long term storage. Monthly storage is minor on a fast moving SKU, but aged inventory surcharges and higher Q4 rates can turn a healthy margin negative on slow sellers. If your sell through is slow, read the net profit above as a ceiling rather than a forecast.

What Amazon UK Actually Charges You

Set the marketplace above to Amazon UK and every figure recalculates in pounds against Amazon UK's own referral and fulfilment tables, not a converted US number. Here is what it is working from.

  • Referral fee: 7% on electronics, 8% on beauty, health and grocery, 12% on electronics accessories, 15% across most of the catalogue including clothing, shoes, watches, home and kitchen, furniture, sports, books, toys, automotive and pet supplies, and 20% on jewellery.
  • FBA fulfilment, standard size: £2.45 at 100g, £3.90 at 500g, £4.40 at 1kg, £5.70 at 2kg, £8.50 at 5kg, £12.50 at 10kg and £18.00 at 20kg. Past 20kg it is £18.00 plus £0.60 for every additional kilo.
  • Bands are metric, and that is the trap: UK fee tiers are set in kilograms and centimetres. A product that sits comfortably inside one US band often lands in a heavier UK one, which is the most common reason a healthy US margin does not survive the move to Amazon UK.
  • VAT and the digital services fee are not in these numbers: the fees above are what Amazon charges before VAT is applied to them. Read the profit figure as pre-VAT, and see the VAT gap most UK calculators ignore before you set a price.

Selling into Britain from a US account? The US seller's blind spot walks through the same SKU priced for both marketplaces.

What Amazon India Actually Charges You

Amazon India is different enough that a US calculator will mislead you. Fees carry 18% GST, fulfilment is priced by delivery zone, and you choose between Easy Ship, FBA and Self Ship. Select India above and all three are handled in rupees.

  • Referral fee: 4% on mobile phones, laptops and computers, 8% on cameras, 9% on electronics, home and kitchen, sports, tools, garden and pet supplies, 10% on small appliances and furniture, 12% on electronics accessories, 13% on watches, 14% on luggage, and 16% on clothing, shoes and jewellery.
  • 18% GST on Amazon's fees: charged on referral, fulfilment and closing fees together. The calculator adds it as its own line, because leaving it out overstates the margin on every Indian SKU by a fifth of the fee bill.
  • Fulfilment is zone based, quoted here local, regional and national. Easy Ship is ₹33, ₹43 and ₹65 at 500g, and ₹106, ₹136 and ₹187 at 5kg, then ₹8 to ₹13 for each extra 500g. FBA is ₹35, ₹45 and ₹55 at 500g, ₹89, ₹118 and ₹151 at 5kg, and ₹126, ₹168 and ₹215 at 10kg.
  • Closing fee: a flat ₹12 on media categories, books, music, video games and software. Small on one order, visible across a month of low priced ones.

The worked example, with GST applied end to end, is in how GST changes your real margin.

Amazon Profit Calculator for the UAE, Germany, Canada, Australia and Japan

The same Amazon profit calculator covers five more marketplaces. It opens in your own marketplace automatically, based on the country you are visiting from, and every figure is worked out in local currency against that marketplace's own referral rates and fulfillment weight bands, not a converted US number.

  • Amazon.ae (UAE): referral fees run from 5% on electronics, mobile phones and computers to 15% on clothing, shoes, home and kitchen, and 20% on jewellery. Amazon also charges 5% VAT on its seller fees, which the calculator shows as its own line so it never hides inside your margin. Results are in AED.
  • Amazon.de (Germany): 7% on electronics, 8% on beauty, health and grocery, 12% on electronics accessories, 15% across most of the catalogue and 20% on jewellery. Weights are in kilograms and results in euros.
  • Amazon.ca (Canada): 8% on electronics, beauty and grocery, 12% on automotive, 15% on most categories and 17% on clothing and accessories, in Canadian dollars.
  • Amazon.com.au (Australia) and Amazon.co.jp (Japan): 8% on electronics and beauty and 15% on most other categories, in Australian dollars and yen.

Fulfillment fees in these five marketplaces are modelled from each marketplace's weight bands and are best read as close estimates. Before you commit to a large inventory order, confirm the exact fee for your ASIN in Seller Central, then use the calculator to see what is left after ads, returns and product cost.

The calculator accounts for all major Amazon FBA cost components:

  • Referral fee - Amazon's commission, category-dependent, typically 8 to 15 percent
  • FBA fulfilment fee - Pick, pack and ship based on product size and weight
  • Ad spend and PPC - Your advertising cost of sale as a percentage of revenue
  • Shipping to FBA - Your inbound logistics cost per unit

Results are highly accurate when you enter real figures. The calculator uses Amazon's published fee structure for the marketplace you select, starting with Amazon US. For best accuracy, use your real product cost, actual shipping costs, and a realistic ad spend (ACoS) based on your category benchmarks. The default values shown are illustrative examples to help you get started.

General benchmarks for Amazon FBA sellers, after referral fees, fulfillment costs, ad spend, and returns:

  • 25 percent and above - Strong. You have room to scale, invest in ads, and handle price competition comfortably.
  • 15 to 25 percent - Acceptable. Review your cost structure and ad efficiency regularly.
  • Below 15 percent - Risky. A price war or fee change could push you into losses. Reduce COGS first.

ROI (Return on Investment) tells you how much profit you earn per dollar invested in sourcing and shipping the product. For example, an ROI of 50 percent means for every $100 you invest in product and shipping, you get $50 back as profit. Target a minimum of 30 percent ROI to account for cash cycle times and reinvestment needs. Higher ROI products compound your capital faster as you scale.

Yes. Select your product category from the dropdown and the calculator applies the correct Amazon referral fee rate automatically, covering Electronics, Clothing, Home and Kitchen, Beauty, Toys, Books, and every other major category on Amazon US, UK, and India. Category rates update automatically when you switch marketplaces. You don't need to look up the fee schedule yourself.

The FBA profit calculator is completely free with no sign-up required. Sellerview also offers advanced plans for sellers who want product tracking, competitor monitoring, keyword analytics, and historical profitability data. You can start free and upgrade when you are ready to scale.

Amazon's native calculator only shows their fees in isolation. Sellerview gives you the full picture by layering in your product cost, shipping, and ad spend to show your actual net profit and ROI, not just what Amazon charges. It also provides same-day adjustable inputs so you can model different pricing scenarios and find your optimal margin before you commit to sourcing.

An Amazon revenue calculator typically shows what you'll collect after Amazon's referral and fulfillment fees, also called your settlement. A profit calculator goes further, subtracting your product cost, packaging, ad spend, and return losses to show your actual net profit per unit. This calculator does both: the Settlement figure is your revenue after Amazon fees, and Net Profit per Unit is your real take-home after every cost. For a deeper walkthrough of revenue calculations specifically, see our Amazon revenue calculator guide.

Yes. The Sellerview Chrome Extension shows live profit and fee breakdowns directly on any Amazon product listing as you browse, so you don't need to copy details into this calculator manually. It supports the same FBA, Easy Ship, and Self-Ship fulfillment methods and multiple marketplaces. You can add it free from the Chrome Web Store.

Yes. Select your marketplace from the dropdown above the calculator and fee structures, referral rates, and currency adjust automatically, including GST handling for India and Easy Ship costs where applicable. For a deeper UK-specific breakdown including VAT treatment, see our Amazon FBA Revenue Calculator UK guide.

This Amazon profit calculator supports eight marketplaces: Amazon US, UK, India, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan and the UAE. It opens in the marketplace that matches the country you are visiting from, so a seller in Dubai sees Amazon.ae in AED and a seller in London sees Amazon.co.uk in pounds. You can switch marketplace at any time from the dropdown at the top of the calculator, and every fee, total and margin recalculates in that marketplace's currency using its own referral rates and fulfillment weight bands.

To calculate profit on Amazon, start with your selling price and subtract every cost tied to that sale: Amazon's referral fee, the FBA fulfillment fee or your own shipping cost if you fulfil orders yourself, your product cost (COGS), inbound shipping to Amazon, ad spend per unit and the cost of returns. In India, add 18% GST on Amazon's fees; in the UAE, 5% VAT on fees. What remains is your net profit per unit, and net profit divided by selling price is your margin. The calculator above runs this whole formula in one step.

Yes. Choose Amazon UAE from the marketplace dropdown, or open the page from the UAE and it is selected for you. The calculator works in AED, applies Amazon.ae referral fees by category, from 5% on electronics and mobile phones to 15% on clothing and home and 20% on jewellery, and adds the 5% VAT Amazon charges on its seller fees. It then deducts your product cost, shipping, ad spend and returns to show your net profit and margin per unit.

Yes. The Amazon profit calculator handles three fulfillment methods. FBA uses Amazon's fulfillment fee for your size tier and weight. Self-Ship, also called FBM or merchant fulfilled, replaces the FBA fee with your own shipping cost per order, and works in every marketplace. Easy Ship, where Amazon collects the parcel from you, is available for Amazon India and uses the local, regional and national rates. Switch between them with the fulfillment toggle and the fee breakdown and net profit update instantly.

You do not need an Excel sheet. This Amazon profit calculator runs free in your browser with no sign-up and no download, and it applies referral fees by category, size tiers and taxes on fees automatically, which a static spreadsheet cannot keep current as Amazon changes its rates. If you want profit for every SKU rather than one product at a time, Sellerview connects to your Amazon account and builds your per-SKU profit and loss automatically, so there is nothing to copy into a spreadsheet.
